The most common feedback we get from clubs isn't "the tool is too complicated". It's: "We don't have anyone to do the design." The squad is sorted, the matches are being played, someone on the committee runs Instagram on the side – but nobody has the eye for how a matchday post should look so that it looks like your club and not like an off-the-peg template.
That's exactly what our design service is for. Currently free for clubs on the PRO plan – no extra charge, no package, no hourly rate.

What you get
Not a single image, but a coherent design system: several templates that clearly belong together and cover the whole matchday – announcement, line-up, final score, league table, new signing. Built around your crest, your colours, your typeface.
The templates land in your account ready to use. From then on they're yours: you can use them as they are, or keep adjusting them in the designer – swap text, move elements, create a sixth template from them. Nothing about it is locked.
How it works
- Get in touch – by email at support@matchday.design or by DM to @matchdaydesign.
- Send us what you have: your crest in good resolution, your club colours, a few photos and – if you have any – examples you like.
- We build the system and show it to you. If something doesn't fit, we change it.
- The templates are in your account, and you can get started.
You don't need any design knowledge or preparation. If all you have is the crest, that's enough to begin with.
An example: SC Germania Erftstadt-Lechenich
The club came to us with a clear problem:
"We've just revived our Instagram channel and made the designs with ChatGPT. We're not happy with them, though, because they look pretty much the same for every club. That's how we came across you while looking for alternatives."
That hits on something we come across often. With an image generator you quickly get something decent-looking – but also something the club down the road can generate in exactly the same way in the same week. Recognition doesn't come from one nice image, but from all your posts having the same signature style.
The result is a yellow and black system that carries the club colours through consistently:

Same typeface, same colour split, same arrangement of crest and details – whether it's an announcement, a result or a league table. Anyone scrolling through the channel recognises the club straight away.
Why PRO clubs get this for free
Honestly, out of self-interest: a club whose templates work posts regularly – and stays on the PRO plan. A club that spends two evenings wrestling with a layout and then gives up helps no one. A design system costs us a few hours; for you, it saves the point where most people stop.
Whether it will stay this way permanently, we don't know. For now: get PRO, get in touch, done. If you're still on the FREE plan and want the service, switch to PRO first – €9 a month, one price for the whole club.
If you'd rather design it yourself
Perfectly fine – that's what the template designer is for, and the standard templates that come with it already cover the matchday. A foundation for setting up colours, crest and typeface properly can be found in the club branding guide. The design service is an offer, not a requirement.
